Hurricane Milton
Latest update as of Friday, October 11 (1PM):
Venture Church Family and Friends,
Though we are fortunate the eyewall of Hurricane Milton did not make a direct landfall in our community, many people in our area did suffer significant loss. Tens of thousands are still without power in Collier County (including the church office and Venture warehouse). Many are dealing with water intrusion from the storm surge. All of the church's dehumidifiers and fans have been delivered to church families that took on flood waters.
Hopefully, the Venture Cares warehouse will be back on generator power by the end of the day. (A fan belt broke yesterday afternoon.) None of the church phones are currently working, as they all require electricity and internet. We continue to assess damage and have been making contact with the most vulnerable in our church family.
We have food, water, and other items available if you or anyone in your neighborhood is in need. If you need assistance, please click the button below to let us know what you need. We will do our best to get you the help you need as promptly as possible. We will send out another email with service opportunities once we are back to being fully operational. Thanks for your prayers, support, and understanding through this process.

FSW has informed us that all rental agreements have been canceled this weekend. Therefore, we will NOT have church this Sunday. We are saddened that we cannot meet together this week. Being able to fellowship, pray, and encourage one another is very important after a traumatic event. Once we have our new facility, we will be able to make these decisions on our own!
Karen and I, and the entire Venture staff, look forward to worshipping with you again on Sunday, October 20th, at our new service times: 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00AM. I will close with one of my favorite Bible passages:
Some went off to sea in ships, plying the trade routes of the world. They, too, observed the Lord’s power in action, his impressive works on the deepest seas. He spoke, and the winds rose, stirring up the waves. Their ships were tossed to the heavens and plunged again to the depths; the sailors cringed in terror. They reeled and staggered like drunkards and were at their wits’ end. “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor! Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
Psalm 107:23-31
With Love,
Pastor Tim
